Amëlinë Lärkän was the daughter of a young refugee from Mâr Rasûnar, a woman who gave her own life to grant her daughter freedom and the chance at a better future. Amëlinë was raised by a farming family from Hûfäm niv Kämûv, who took her in as their own. From this family she also took the name Lärkän, becoming all the more a part of their lives. Even as a child, she showed a sharp mind and a hunger for learning, attending the General School in the settlement of Ost Jômil, where she excelled in writing, mathematics, and history.

After completing her basic education, she chose to further her studies at the specific school in Bärinar. There she trained in the prestigious field of scribe and archivist, opening the door to greater opportunities. Yet she never forgot her home, and chose to return to Ost Jômil to put her skills to use for her community. She took a post at the settlement’s central warehouse, where her precision and organizational talent quickly made her indispensable.

Amëlinë is a figure of hope and quiet sacrifice. Though raised in modest circumstances, she never lost her drive to learn and to make something of her own. Her return to Ost Jômil was not a step backward, but a way of giving thanks to those who had given her a home and a chance at a better life. And yet, within her, a quiet longing remains, to know more of her mother and of where she truly came from, a longing that lends her a depth, and a mystery, all her own.
